Deborah Valchar's career spans more than two decades in both Executive Search Consulting and Corporate Human Resources. She offers executive-level Corporate Staffing experience with Deloitte Touche, JPMorgan Chase and Wachovia / Wells Fargo as well as an Executive Search Practice covering corporate finance, specialized industries, credit and global wealth management. In 1992, Deborah founded her own search firm, servicing the global markets for 10 years. In 2004, she joined forces with Flo Salgado Yee and founded V&Y Partners, offering cost-effective, results-oriented Human Resource Strategies for Career Transitions in addition to Professional and Executive Recruiting Services.

Her academic grounding includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Wisconsin along with various courses in banking from the Strobel School of Finance.

Deborah is a member of the Women’s Bond Club of New York.

Flo Salgado Yee’s career in Human Resources spans more than two decades with direct experience in Corporate Staffing and HR Consulting focused on Career Transitions and Professional and Executive Recruiting Services. She offers executive-level experience with JPMorgan Chase and Wachovia / Wells Fargo as well as an Executive Search Consulting Practice covering the fixed income / credit markets and wealth management. In 2001, she became a Senior Manager at Simmons Associates Inc., a nationally known diversity consulting firm. Three years later, Flo joined VY Partners, offering cost-effective, results-oriented Human Resource Strategies for Career Transitions in addition to Professional and Executive Recruiting Services.


Her academic grounding includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing / Industrial Psychology from Baruch College and post-graduate work at New York University. Flo supports a variety of non-profits with fundraising and board-level responsibility.

LILY H. LI

A recruitment researcher and LinkedIn consultant, Lily H. Li was talent acquisition / global knowledge manager at Chartis Inc. and an associate with The Prout Group Inc. Spencer Stuart and Korn Ferry serve as bookends to her retained executive search career. Her publishing tenure includes Discover, The Executive Female, Money, The New Yorker, Newsday, Los Angeles Times, Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal. She recently served as a contributing editor to 100 Questions and Answers About Veterans: A Guide for Civilians (http://www.readthespirit.com/bookstore/books/100-questions-and-answers-about-veterans/).

Lily graduated from Barnard College with a double major in English and economics, then undertook master’s coursework in Area Studies (Chinese concentration) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). She trained in Mandarin Chinese at the Beijing Languages Institute (now Beijing Language and Culture University).

Her “LinkedIn for Recruiters” presentation was the year’s best-attended meeting of New York City SHRM’s Staffing Management Special Interest Group. She is an active member of the Workforce Readiness SIG, advocating on behalf of U.S. servicewomen and men.
